The neighbours of the Messi family say young Lionel was a big hit with the local girls!
Lionel Messi grew up in Rosario next to neighbours María Victoria and Emilia.
Emilia said of the now Barcelona superstar: "From a little boy he was so good that all the girls came to see him home. Leo just wanted to play football, the ball was all day at his feet.
"Sometimes when he went out, there were plenty of girls waiting for him.
"I remember we put together food and drinks in the summer for everyone and we sat down to watch him play. Lionel was a good boy, maybe a bit naughty, and all the girls wanted him."
