It has been assumed Arsenalwill crack and allow their skipper to go to the Nou Camp – especially if the Champions League winners go up to £60m, says the Daily Star.
But Fabregas has been told the club plan to do exactly what they did a year ago – and rebuff any approach fromBarcelona.
Fabregas had an inconsistent season, struggling with injury and at times his form as the Gunners went a sixth season without a trophy.
Despite this, boss Arsene Wenger is adamant he does not want to lose the 24-year- old midfielder and has let his board know that, in no uncertain terms.
Fabregas still has four more years on his contract and Wenger expects him to honour at least one more of those.
