Barcelona assistant coach Tito Vilanova has undergone surgery on a salivary gland.
Vilanova has not travelled with the Catalan team for their match at AC Milan in the Champions League and had an operation at the Hospital Vall d'Hebron in Barcelona on Tuesday morning.
The 42-year-old joined the club in 2007 where he assisted Pep Guardiola with the B team before the pair took on the full side a year later.
