Arsenal’s Theo Walcott has conceded that former team-mate Cesc Fabregas has fit into theBarcelona team superbly since his summer departure from the Emirates
Fabregas spent eight years at Arsenal, in between spells at the Catalunyan club, and while he has now moved on to pastures new, Walcott was quick to praise the Spaniard for the job he did for the Gunners.
"He was an absolutely fantastic player for Arsenal,” Walcott told reporters.
“Throughout the years he went up so many levels.
"Now he puts on a Barca shirt and it just seems to suit him.
"He was fantastic for Arsenal but he has fitted into the Barcelona team so well, he's scoring goals and enjoying himself."
Saturday’s friendly between England and Spain will be the first time the two players come up against each other since Fabregas’ move, and Walcott admits it will be a strange feeling.
"It'll be nice to see him again but it will be weird playing against him,” he added.
The England man will come up against his former team-mate on Saturday, and while he commends what the Spaniard did for the Gunners, he admits he does fit in at the Catalan giants
