Thiago Alcantara says Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi deserves the Ballon d'Or.
Barca midfielder Xavi is also among the nominees.
“The whole world believes that he’s the favourite. He’s number one in this sport and after the year he’s put in, I believe that he deserves it. He doesn’t stop surprising us. He’s able to do just about anything with the ball. His qualities are unique, it’s a pleasure to play alongside him,” said Thiago.
