Gerard Pique has defendedBarcelona teammate Xavi after he was lambasted byArsenal boss Arsene Wengerfor comments about Cesc Fabregas's situation.
Xavi claimed last week that his Spain team-mate Cesc had recently told him he has been "suffering" because of his desire to rejoin the Catalan club, which drew a furious response from Wenger.
"Barcelona and the players have always spoken with great respect.
"Any player suffers when there's so much talk about his future due to the uncertainty of not knowing where he will be playing. Saying that is not a lack of respect to anybody," Pique told Sport.
