24 named for game with Hajduk

Josep Guardiola will take 24 players, 12 from the reserve team, to play on Saturday in Croatia against Hajduk Split, kicking off at 20.30. Pedro, Puyol, Piqué and Xavi stay at home. 


The players have been named for the first game of the preseason, which is on Saturday evening in the Croatian city of Split. Four first team players have not been named. It was already known that Carles Puyol is injured,while Xavi Hernández and Pedro Rodríguez will stay behind to do specific work and Gerard Piqué, who has calf trouble. 

12 from Barça B 
A total of twelve players travel for the friendly in Split. All of these have been training under Josep Guardiola with the first team for the last few days. 

Last training of the week 
This Friday the squad trained for the last time before heading east. There were 14 first team and 14 B team players gathered at 19.00 at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. However, Gerard Piqué worked out separately due to his calf trouble, and Xavi and Puyol also had specific work to do
