Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi believes Lionel Messi will remain at Barcelona for the rest of his playing career.

"Messi always asks about Napoli, but I believe he wants to end his career where it started, and this is at Barcelona," Lavezzi is quoted as saying on Il Corriere dello Sport.

Speaking ahead of Monday's Gamper Trophy friendly at Camp Nou, the Argentina international hailed Pep Guardiola's side. The striker expects it to be a warm up for its run in the Champions League.

"It will be a special game against Barcelona, but I would like to play them in the Champions League," added Lavezzi. "The Gamper Trophy will show us where we are in terms of preparation."

The fixture is at Camp Nou on Monday night.
