Spurs have slapped an £8.5 million price-tag on the Mexico international, says talkSPORT.
Tigres and Club America are the two Mexican sides that have most recently expressed an interest in taking the Mexico international home, but neither are keen on the forward's price tag.
America have asked to take the former Barcelona youngster on loan but have been flatly refused as Harry Redknapp continues trying to trim his squad.
