Man Utd happy to leave Sanchez to Barcelona, Man City

Manchester United have cooled their pursuit ofUdinese star Alexis Sanchez this week.
The Telegraph says the completion of Ashley Young’s move from Aston Villacalls into question United’s pursuit of Sanchez, the Chilean international winger also coveted byManchester City and Barcelona, and the future of Nani, the Portuguese winger now widely expected to leave Old Trafford.
A delegation of United officials, led by chief executive David Gill, met representatives of Sanchez’s current club, Udinese, in Spain last week as the Italian side attempted to ascertain which of Europe’s giants was prepared to meet their £35 million asking price for the 22-year-old.
Though United’s interest in the player was genuine, they have seemingly not pursued him as relentlessly as their city rivals or the European champions.
Udinese have suggested in recent days that a deal with Barcelona, the player’s preference, is “80 per cent” done, but City remain confident they can still secure the forward identified as Roberto Mancini’s absolute priority this summer.
