AS Roma coach Luis Enrique is threatening former clubBarcelona's hopes of landing Sporting Gijon fullback Jose Angel.
Jose Angel has been waiting to complete a move to Barca since before the Champions League final and was expected to finalise the transfer this week.
However, Luis Enrique has stepped in and offered to take the young defender to Rome for next season.
A source close to Jose Angel told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Roma are a great team and Italy a great championship. Besides this, Luis Enrique is a technician who he knows and regard highly. "
