Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff has stunned Real Madrid fans by praising their team.
Cruyff was impressed by Real's victory over Lyon.
"Madrid are playing very well in recent years. Eighteen months ago they broke their record for points (96, with Manuel Pellegrini on the bench). It is true that Barcelona took the title, but Real Madrid now have a great team and plays very well," said the Dutchman before returning to type and criticising Real coach Jose Mourinho.
"What he says does not interest anyone. In any sport you must have respect for your teammates and opponents."
