Arsenal have dropped their asking price for midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
The Daily Mail says Arsenalhave rejected Barcelona's latest £31million bid for Fabregas - but told the Spanish giants they can have him for £35m.
Arsenal had already turned down a £27m bid from Barcelona for Fabregas before rejecting the Catalan club's latest offer.
There is a feeling, however, that a deal which will finally see Fabregas return to Spain is close after months of speculation. The Gunners have told Barca that an extra £4m on top of their latest bid will be enough to land their captain.
Barcelona's path to capturing their target was made easier on Friday after Wenger confirmed Fabregas, 24, would not travel on the club's tour, citing a hamstring injury.
