AC Milan coach Allegri defends quiet Cassano after Barcelona thriller

AC Milan coach Max Allegri defended Antonio Cassanoafter his quiet performance inBarcelona.

The former Real Madrid striker eventually was hooked during the thrilling 2-2 draw.

“Cassano, like all the others, worked to help out the team," insisted Allegri.

"I was convinced he’d have a great game, otherwise I wouldn’t have fielded him. He did create an interesting opportunity, but four days after the high tempo game against Lazio, fatigue was always going to be an issue.”
