Barcelona's Victor Valdes: We could have scored a third goal against Valencia

The goalkeeper was quite pleased with the away draw, but felt that they perhaps should have picked up the win by finding the net late in the game.

Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has expressed his satisfaction with his side's 2-2 La Liga draw away against Valencia on Wednesday evening, but added that the Catalans could have won the game had they been more clinical in the closing stages of the match.
Valencia caused the Camp Nou side all kinds of problems throughout the match. However, Pep Guardiola's men managed to equalise in the 77th minute and then started pushing for the winner, but the hosts held on to pick up one point.

"This is an important draw for us, because it is not easy to get a good result here. The coach had warned us that it wouldn't be easy, but we're slightly disappointed that we didn't manage to score that third goal," Valdes was quoted as saying by Marca.

"Valencia dominated proceedings in the first half. However, we saw more of the ball after the interval and got some good chances.

"We are now focusing on our next match against Atletico Madrid and want the full three points against them."

Barcelona sit fourth in the league table with eight points from four games.
