The father of Rafa Alcantara is waiting for new contract talks to open with Barcelona.
The exciting teenage winger is the younger brother of new Spain cap Thiago Alcantara.
Dad Mazinho said: "He is out of contract this season, but we began conversations last season. There is a good feeling and there is no problem with Barcelona. I'm hoping the club call me to discuss his contract.
"He is happy at Barcelona and there is no doubt that he wants to stay."
