Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas & Andres Iniesta are phenomenons - Xavi

Sep 4, 2011

The 31-year-old has moved to praise his club and national team-mates following the world champions' 3-2 friendly victory over Chile in Switzerland on Friday

Xavi has admitted that having Cesc Fabregas and Andres Iniesta playing for Barcelona andSpain is a luxury.

The duo combined to mastermind Chile's downfall in Friday's 3-2 friendly win as they scored to overturn a 2-0 deficit.

And Xavi, who played in Switzerland, feels Spain's success against the South Americans is pinned on the two midfielders.

"Having these two [Fabregas and Iniesta] in the team for Spain and Barcelona is a luxury," Xavi is quoted as saying by Marca.com.

"They are both phenomenons. I was not the protagonist from the game [against Chile].

"It was Iniesta as he changed the match. When Andres has the ball at his feet, you know something different is going to happen."

Spain play Liechtenstein in their Euro 2012 Group I qualifier on Tuesday. Vicente Del Bosque's men lead the standings from the Czech Republic by five points.
